What better way to start the weekend than with a freshly finished illustration?! This week's illustration challenge was to draw this beautiful portrait of Jean Seberg, an American actress from the '50s who unfortunately got more famous for the tragedies surrounding her personal life than for her big screen performances.
This week I've been working hard on a portrait of the very talented actress and director Lupita Nyong'o. I found a picture of her in a magazine some time ago and wanted to make a drawing of it, not just because she's beautiful but also because I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into the precious lace top by Erdem she's wearing.
Even though it's been a bit quiet over here, I've had some very busy and productive weeks working hard on new content, ideas and my instagram footage. To celebrate it's weekend I decided to share this little self-portrait I finished this afternoon.
This weekend I felt like drawing. I started to make a small self-portrait (12x12 cm/5x5 inches). Although it's not perfect, I'm happy with how it turned out. For me it was a good try out working with colored chalks instead of just grey and to sketch a portrait in a smaller size. Now that I've discovered a taste for drawing again, I know more will follow soon!
